Why Should I Join The Main Street Mailer When I've already tried shared advertising like in a local magazine?
I’ve spoken to many local business owners who have been in a popular local magazine and have not been happy so they apply that negative experience to The Main Street Mailer even though they’ve never been on it before.
There is a night and day difference. When all you have is 3 seconds to catch someones attention, being buried deep in a magazine doesn’t give you a whole lot of time to make an impression.
The Main Street Mailer is a single page. It is sent as is and is the biggest flat piece of mail the post office will send without folding. It is most often the biggest thing in the mailbox, it demands attention. This means the businesses that are on it are seen INSTANTLY. The value of the postcard is apparent as soon as they lay their eyes on it. All it takes is one ad to catch someones eye for them to keep the whole thing.
People sort their mail over the trash. Doesn’t it make more sense for you to be instantly seen rather than hope someone keeps the magazine, then hope they open it and see you, and then hope a competitor isn’t in there taking the spotlight away from you.
I Want A Bigger Sized Ad
This is a common thing I hear from people who have taken out full or half page ads in a local magazine. Isn't Direct Mail Dead?
This is a gigantic misconception and a huge miscalculation if you don’t incorporate some sort of direct mail in your advertising.

Are there any contracts?
No, there are no contracts. With that being said, to get the maximum benefit, it is recommended to be on the publication for a minimum of 4 months.
Repeat exposure is extremely important to any advertising. Sure you can see positive results if you are on it only once, but you are just skimming the top – the low hanging fruit.
You should strive to be seen so often that you become synonymous with your industry. This is called “top of mind” advertising. This way someone sees you so often that when it comes time for them to need your services, or to recommend them to someone else, they think of you first.
With shared advertising, the benefit is the low cost. To take advantage of this, you’ll maximize your results through longer exposure.
When you commit to multiple months, you will get a discount applied to your last publication.
Do I have to prove a design to you?
My background is in graphic design so I include free design for each ad and you have the option to change your ad before each publication goes out – free of charge. You will need to provide a high resolution logo, any pictures, contact details and your offer/text. If you have a style/branding guideline that I can follow, you can send that as well or you can provide previous advertising you’ve done that I can closely match in style. If you need help crafting an irresistible offer, I have over 14 years of advertising experience.
If you’d like to provide your own ad design, that is perfectly fine. All designs should be made to the correct dimensions and be 300dpi with a CMYK color profile.
Are there really no competitors?
Each postcard will exclusively feature one business per category. If you offer multiple services or products, you’ll need to select just one category to represent. For instance, a roofing company that also offers siding and windows must choose to advertise either roofing services or an alternative like siding.
Similarly, if a Japanese restaurant wants to be on the postcard, it doesn’t mean there can’t be other restaurants. Each cuisine type can have representation, ensuring diversity among participating businesses.
What is the payment process?
Once you agree to be on the publication, a digital invoice will be sent and ad design will begin. All forms of payment are accepted but if you choose to pay online, there will be a 3.5% processing fee applied.
Payment must be made promptly to reserve your spot. If you don’t pay in a timely manner, the spot will be at risk of going to someone else.
All payments must be made before any printing begins.
If you choose to do multiple months, you can either pay all up front for a cash discount or you can pay monthly.
Are there any refunds?
Unfortunately there are no refunds because of the nature of advertising, but customer service is what I am known for so I will try my hardest to find a way to fix any concerns.
What if I don't like the results?
When it comes to any advertising, there are a million different factors that come into play that impact the success of the ad. If it were easy, everyone would be millionaires. Just because you didn’t see the results you’d have liked, that doesn’t mean it can never work. There are likely fixable key issues that you are unaware of. I have over a decade of advertising experience, I can quickly and easily find problems and provide solutions.
